The municipality of Blagoevgrad and SWU “Neofit Rilski” organize joint practical training for students regarding the protection of personal data.
It takes place within the framework of project No. 101047808 entitled “European Data Protection: Post pandemic effects and new dimensions” (EDP-PPEND), which is implemented with the financial support of the “Erasmus +” Program 2021-2027, action on the “Jean Monnet” initiative in the field of higher education”, led by the Dean of the Faculty of Law and History Assoc. Prof. Nikolay Marin, Ph.D. and aimed at graduates of the Faculty of Law and History and the Faculty of Economics.
SWU ‘Neofit Rilski’ is the first university in Bulgaria to offer its students the study of personal data protection as an independent course. The municipality of Blagoevgrad is also the first municipality in the country to conduct such training for students.
The training is led by Margarita Petkova, Data Protection Officer under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Assistant Prof. Anna Hristova, Ph.D. and Assistant Prof. Yordanka Noneva, Ph.D.
