On June 2, 2023, the Commission for Personal Data Protection in Bulgaria held practical training for students majoring in Law and International Relations at the Faculty of Law and History of the SWU Neofit Rilski.
The respective managers introduced the students to the activities and organization of the Commission for Personal Data Protection and the work of its specialized directorates. The presentation focused on the proceedings before the CPDP. The young participants focused on concrete cases from the practice of implementing cooperation and coherence mechanisms and the overall activity of the European Data Protection Committee.
Mr. Ventsislav Karadjov, the chairman of CPDP, personally awarded certificates to the participating students for successfully completing their practical training.
The practical training includes 15 academic hours. It was conducted as a natural continuation of the course “Protection of Personal Data in the EU and Third Countries” studied by the students under project No. 101047808, “European Data Protection: Post-Pandemic Effects and New Dimensions” (EDP-PPEND). This project was implemented with the financial support of the Erasmus+ Program 2021-2027, an initiative under the Jean Monnet action in the field of higher education.
